Outpatient health center

At the outpatient health center the child can receive outpatient consultations and examinations by prior appointment.

Outpatient consultations and examinations are held at both the Torņakalns and Gaiļezers Children's Clinical University Hospital's locations by prior appointment with a referral from a family doctor or specialist who is in contractual relations with the NVD. A doctor's consultation, examinations and medical documentation are provided upon presentation of a document certifying the child and the parent or authorized person (birth certificate, passport or power of attorney).

Without a referral, the patient can contact the following direct access specialists:

  • pediatric surgeon;
  • pediatrician;
  • endocrinologist, if the patient suffers from diabetes;
  • oncologist, if the patient suffers from an oncological disease;
  • gynecologist;
  • ophthalmologist;
  • psychiatrist, if the patient suffers from a mental illness;
  • narcologist, if the patient suffers from alcohol, narcotic or psychotropic substance addiction;
  • pulmonologist, if the patient suffers from tuberculosis;
  • dermatovenereologist, if the patient suffers from sexually transmitted diseases;
